Xapo Adds A++ and A Rated Insurers to Vault Insurance

November 4, 2014

Insurance has been an added layer of protection for Xapo Vault users since early this year.  Over the past few months we have worked hard to add additional insurance and, today, we are pleased to announce that we have expanded our coverage with a new policy from four of the most respected companies in the insurance industry.  The companies each have ratings of A or A++ from A.M. Best.

Security is our foundation and we believe security should be the focus for all bitcoin companies.  Without security, nothing else matters, and Xapo’s core focus has always been — and will always be — providing highly-secure bitcoin storage for our users.  We believe this focus has made the Xapo Vault the most advanced bitcoin cold storage solution in the world.

The layer of insurance from our A++ and A rated partners expands our existing insurance program and adds yet another layer of protection for our users.  We are encouraged by the insurance industry’s willingness to work with us and hope similar insurance programs will become ubiquitous in the bitcoin industry generally.

Users can learn more about our insurance by going to our FAQ page or by logging in to the Vault section of their Xapo account.
